Picnic

Our annual fun picnic will be held on Sunday 16th August from 1pm to 4pm.

Please bring your food along (no BBQs) and join in with some fun games. There'll be a harvest-themed tombola, guess the sweets in the jar and a litter picking race.

Jenni has some plants for sale, and there is chai and cakes to purchase. Not to be missed!

AGM

Our AGM will be held on Monday 15th June at 7pm.

This year we have decided to hold the meeting in the park, near the Heatherset Gardens entrance. 

There will be free refreshments and an opportunity to hear all the good things that the Friends have achieved in the last year.

If you are able, please bring a chair!

New Path

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Friends of Norbury Park and their dedicated Action Plan, Croydon Council has completed the construction of a brand-new path running through the heart of the park.

Designed to be wide enough for Council vehicles, the new pathway is also expected to offer park-goers a much-needed dry and accessible route during the wet winter months.



The path was officially opened on 16th July 2025 by Croydon’s Executive Mayor, Jason Perry, in a ribbon-cutting ceremony that marked a significant step forward for the park’s future.

Cricket Pitch

In a deeply disappointing act of vandalism, our much-loved cricket pitch was badly damaged overnight on 18–19 August 2025.

If anyone has information about who was responsible, please do get in touch.

The good news is that the Council has since repaired the pitch — and it was a big job! Huge thanks to Croydon Council and Mayor Jason Perry for their swift and supportive response.
